CV

I grew up in the village of Dedham, where my first art lessons were watching the great-niece of the artist John Constable.

After completing a 2-year course in photography at Regent Street Polytechnic in London. I spent my career working with some of the best photographers in London. The most well known studio was that of John Vickers, the official photographer of the Old Vic Theatre. I also worked on fashion and advertising photography until moving back to Suffolk.

I took up painting seriously in 1997 when illnes forced me to retire from my career in theatre photography and as a designer.

I am a member of Orwell Art Club and the Humberdoucy Group, tutored by Ken Cuthbert and am also a member of the Ipswich Art Society.

I enjoy giving talks to groups and especially to the groups of schoolchildren who visit exhibitions in order to learn more about art.
